Respond within designated timelines, verbally or in writing in English and/or French to the patient, healthcare professional (HCP), requester, and client personnel to answer medical questions regarding assigned products based on product labeling, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Standard Letters or available approved material. B. Enter all Medical Information requests in the designated database in English (with French verbatim as needed). C. Develop responses to complex inquiries based on the literature in a timely manner. D. Maintain and develop current Product Information, FAQs, Standard Letters, and other relevant medical information material in the designated database for assigned Products. E. Develop reports to provide to clients summarizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics. Generate agreed-upon reports in a timely fashion. Respond to any questions from clients in relation to these reports. F. Recognize, document, and forward Adverse Event (AE) / Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) / Adverse Drug Experience (ADE), Medical Device Incident (MDI) to appropriate personnel as per procedures and within strictly defined timelines. G. Perform Individual Case Safety Report (ICSR) processing as per applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI) including but not limited to Triage, Duplicate Search, Data Entry, MedDRA codding, Narrative Writing, Medical Evaluation, Seriousness assessment, expectedness assessment, Causality assessment, Reportability Assessment, Regulatory authority submission, and follow-ups, etc. H. Recognize, document, and forward Product Quality Complaints (PQC) to appropriate personnel as per procedures and within strict acceptable timelines. I. Perform AE / ADR/ ADE / MDI / PQC reports’ reconciliation with internal and external stakeholders. J. Perform Literature Review as per the applicable organization’s SOP and WI K. Manage Mailboxes including filling emails in appropriate folders. L. Review and file incoming Faxes in the appropriate folder M. Act as a contact point for the client N. Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to request additional information or clarification as necessary; O. Assist in audit preparation. P. File and store all documents as per applicable SOP and WI. Q. Other tasks assigned by the Director and/or Manager, as needed. R. May be required to be on standby / on-call as part of this role. experience and educational requirements: A. Bilingual, Fluent in English and French B. Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related discipline C. 1-2 years of experience in Medical Information, Drug Safety, Clinical Research, and/or equivalent and related experience in the pharmaceutical industry; D. Ability to engage well over the telephone with patients, consumers, and HCPs. E. Can-do attitude, with proven ability to meet strict deadlines. minimum skills, KNOWLEDGE, and ability requirements: A. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. B. Professional telephone etiquette; active listening and pleasant speaking C. Able to translate complex medical information to consumers and HCPs. D. Effective interpersonal, and organizational skills, and attention to details E. Ability to consistently meet deadlines. F. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented professional environment. G. Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently H. Excellent writing and presentation skills I. Knowledge with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, other MS Office Programs, and Adobe Pro J. Strong knowledge of the pharmacovigilance industry including up-to-date knowledge of Health Canada, US-FDA, and ICH’s Pharmacovigilance requirements and guidelines K. Familiarity with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) is an asset. L. Able to work any 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM-+:00 PM EST, if necessary M. DUTIES
Students explore silvicultural concepts as they apply to forest stand and landscape level management, as well as silviculture systems as they relate to economics, wildlife, biodiversity, and sustainability. Topics include principles of forest tree improvement, seed handling, nursery practices and artificial regeneration, and natural regeneration and stand tending practices. Self-directed field experiences provide students with the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge of silvicultural practices.
Open Learning Faculty Members are teaching staff in the Open Learning division of TRU, and the role of the Open Learning Faculty Member is to actively encourage, support and guide students toward success in their academic studies. Open Learning Faculty Members must be skilled in teaching, fully knowledgeable of the subject matter and demonstrate a positive, open and caring attitude in all interaction with students.
Responsibilities of the Open Learning Faculty Member (Web) include but are not limited to:
• Administrative set up and record keeping
• Initiating and maintaining regular contact with the student as specified in the collective agreement
• Responding to all student queries by phone, e-mail or other method as appropriate within the time frame outlined in the collective agreement
• Marking all assignments, posting results, and providing prompt feedback
• Marking exams and posting results
We anticipate 20 - 30 students in this course per year. These numbers are only estimates and actual numbers for the course may be greater or less than the estimated numbers.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for candidates with a PhD in a relevant discipline, a background in natural resources, significant recent academic experience in the subject area, and documented excellence in helping students achieve their goals. In addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills, the preferred candidates will have demonstrated skills and abilities in distance education.
The Open Learning Faculty Member must:
• Be knowledgeable and experienced in the subject matter of the course
• Have received training or have successful experience in the active facilitation of learning in a collaborative online environment
• Have direct experience working with current educational technologies, tools and Learning Management Systems
• Have demonstrated knowledge of effective pedagogy in the use of current educational technology and tools
• Have demonstrated skills and abilities in the delivery of flexible learning materials, the application of instructional technology and in the application of adult learning principles
The pay for Open Learning Faculty Members varies based on several factors including the number of students in the course, the type of work, the type of course and the number of assessments completed by students in the course. The total pay includes amounts based on hourly rates as well as set dollar amounts for certain types of work.
