Responsibilities
The Operations Accountant I is responsible for providing a wide range of accounting and financial skills, accurate and timely reporting and analysis, and assisting with the preparation of operating targets and annual budgets

Perform and maintain processes to support accurate operational reporting
Prepare financial and operational reports timely and accurately
Support month and year end closing processes for operational accounting areas
Assist with the budget and operating target processes
Assist with annual physical inventory
Analyze product cost changes
Analyze account transactions
Participate on process improvement teams within assigned functional areas
Develop, maintain, and use standard operating procedures and/or work instructions
Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments
Ability to work and interact with others
Perform special projects, as assigned
Organize accounting records in an effective and efficient manner

Position Summary
The Operations Accountant I is responsible for providing a wide range of accounting and financial skills, accurate and timely reporting and analysis, and assisting with the preparation of operating targets and annual budgets.

Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or another related field preferred.
Experience: No previous experience required, if degreed. Minimum of 4 years of accounting or finance experience, if non-degreed. General plant or manufacturing accounting experience is preferred.
