Salary: $130,000.00 to $180,000.00
Position Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, Construction, the Operations Controller oversees financial and operational strategy, project controls, and corporate reporting across TNDC's construction and operations divisions (Fleet, Aggregates, Aviation). The Operations Controller will lead financial planning, cost management, project control processes, and strategic reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and client expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Lead cross-functional business operations, ensuring alignment between corporate strategy and day-to-day site execution.
Working with divisional leads on comprehensive asset management systems (Fleet CMMS), optimizing equipment tracking, preventive maintenance, and cost allocation.
Manage end-to-end procurement, logistics, job costing, cost coding, and commercial operations to drive efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Develop detailed project status reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to support informed decision-making.
Ensure rigorous compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
Collaborate effectively with operations, finance, HR, IT, and external stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance organizational efficiency.
Ideal candidate profile:
7+ years experience in financial leadership or project controls within construction, mining, or infrastructure sectors.
Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, job costing, cost coding, project reporting, and CAPEX management.
Proficiency with construction-specific financial systems (Fiix, Eclipse ERP, 4Castplus, HCSS).
Demonstrated analytical and strategic capabilities with a track record of effective financial reporting and project oversight.
Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, adept at building strong internal and external relationships.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Willingness to work occasional weekends, evenings, or extended hours to meet deliverables during busy periods.
Travel required.
Ability to manage stress and perform effectively under pressure.
