Responsibilities
The Operator Mechanic is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery
Operate machinery and equipment according to established procedures and specifications
Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation
Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including lubrication, adjustments, and inspections
Operate production equipment
Assemble and set-up production equipment
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, & quarterly PM’s on equipment
Generate and close maintenance work orders
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed
Coordinate with the maintenance team for more complex repairs and maintenance tasks
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency
Suggest improvements to processes and procedures to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
