Job Responsibilities
Guide and educate patients through the frame and lens selection process of product lines, lens options, coatings, and materials.
Presenting appropriate eyewear solutions and clearly communicating the value of different lens technologies.
Take measurements and perform accurate fittings and adjustments to ensure optimal comfort and vision correction.
Fabricate, edge, assemble, and repair eyewear in the optical lab, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
Verify and inspect completed glasses to ensure proper prescription, alignment, and cosmetic quality.
Ensure all lab equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, following safety and cleanliness standards.
Maintain stock levels of eyeglass cases, cleaners, contact lens solutions, and other optical supplies. Keep frame boards clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Communicate promptly with patients about any delays or issues in order fulfillment and provide realistic timelines for delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
1-3 years previous Optician experience preferred
Fashion savvy and enjoy helping people in a customer setting.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Comfortable with sales and making transactions.
Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
