Introduction
As a Service Delivery Specialist, you are the face of IBM for our customers. Your clients' success depends on your ability to understand their needs and respond to requests for new services. This role is an integral part of both account planning and delivering support strategies, working to proactively monitor problems, change processes, and handle issues to ensure our customers success.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Oracle database administrator, you have experience in administering, monitoring and troubleshooting databases to support customer's mission critical applications. You have aspirations to gain extensive experience in database administration and and wish to apply your knowledge to provide hands-on assistance to any of the infrastructure areas as well as process improvements as required.
Role and Responsibilities
• 24*7 rotational shifts to support Oracle Database activities.
• Upload / create/alter users and assigning roles and privileges
• Perform export/import, database creation, basic troubleshooting
• Administer and create all database objects and users on the request of developer of the application team.
• Create basic Oracle database daily/monthly/quarterly reports on periodic basis as per RFP and distribute the same to respective stakeholders
• Follow processes for change control, problems, incidents, service calls and manage the incident/tickets at provided tool
• Should be responsible to maintain optimum utilization of all the equipment’s w.r.t. database operations and keeping close watch on optimum performance of database
• Monitor Database, OS, Network, Database processes, Database objects on regular basis and implement necessary measures to rectify the issues
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• 4 Years+ in Oracle Database administration Oracle database administration
• Should have work and knowledge on Oracle 12, RAC and Oracle 1+
• Experience in managing Oracle databases on Unix flavors.
• Installation, implementation, upgrading, performance, security, patching and monitoring of Oracle Database
• Willingness to work in nights shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needs

• This role will require you work both as individual contributor or in a team of experienced
• As this is a client facing role, there will be interaction with the clients.
• Administer, monitor, troubleshoot application server configuration and performance.
• Timely security patching and applying support fixes as required.
• Role management and User administration.
• Space administration on application servers.
