We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 4 to 7 years of experience to join our IT team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments.
This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Database Management :
Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.
Create and manage Oracle database instances, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Implement and maintain database security, including user management and data encryption.
Performance Tuning And Optimization
Monitor database performance and conduct regular tuning to ensure optimal performance.
Analyze and resolve database performance issues, including query optimization and resource management.
Implement and manage indexing strategies to improve database. performance.
Backup And Recovery
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases.
Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
Manage and maintain Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager) for efficient backup and recovery operations.
Data Migration And Integration
Plan and execute data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
Integrate Oracle databases with other systems and applications as required.
Utilize data replication and ETL tools to support data integration needs.
Database Security And Compliance
Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Automation And Scripting
Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine database tasks.
Utilize tools and scripts to monitor and manage database environments efficiently.
Collaboration And Communication
Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to support database-related needs.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database issues.
Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4 to 7 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and best practices.
Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming.
Experience with Oracle backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
Knowledge of Oracle performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with Oracle Data Guard, ASM (Automatic Storage Management), and RAC (Real Application Clusters).
Experience with database security and compliance requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
