Calgary Youth Justice Society is seeking an experienced organizational development consultant or group to lead our organization in identifying and building management systems and practices that support leadership capacity to achieve strategic plan goals and evolve our organizational culture to enhance connection, communication and accountability.

The Calgary Youth Justice Society (CYJS) has recently developed and embarked on implementing a new dynamic 5-year strategic plan to support our continued growing reach and impact on the lives of young people and communities in Calgary and across Alberta.
We are seeking an experienced organizational development consultant or group to lead our organization in identifying and building management systems and practices that support leadership capacity to achieve strategic plan goals and evolve our organizational culture to enhance connection, communication and accountability.
The successful candidate must have proven experience working with not-for-profit organizations and demonstrated results in developing individualized organizational structures, processes and interventions that have led to improvements in organizational effectiveness, efficiency and culture.
The current CYJS team consists of 18 employees with an anticipated increase to 24 by the end of the year.
Project Scope of Work
We envision the project in 3 phases with clear objectives, activities, and deliverables within each phase.
Phase 1: Discovery
Objective:
Identification of specific needs, challenges, and opportunities for fostering a culture of connection, communication, accountability, and leadership excellence.
Activities:
Conduct engagement sessions with organization leadership team members and staff members to gather feedback and insight on current perceptions of organizational effectiveness, workplace culture and leadership capabilities.
Conduct an organizational audit to identify gaps in organizational processes and practices, communication patterns and efficiencies, leadership approaches, and culture that impact organizational effectivenes
Deliverables:
Discovery report detailing feedback from engagement sessions, results from the organizational audit and recommendations based on findings.
Phase 2: Development
Objective:
Design of processes, practices, tools and best practices standards based on the gaps, opportunities and recommendations identified in Phase 1.
Activities:
Review discovery report findings with leadership to determine priority development activities.
Develop practical processes, resources, and tools to support efficient leadership capabilities related to decision making and communication and fostering an organization wide culture of collaboration, accountability and resilience.
