Job description
Now Education are delighted to be working in partnership with an Alternative Provision in Salford who require an Outreach tutor to deliver programmes of study loosely based on the Princes Trust, Maths and English Functional Skills.
The school are a dynamic and supportive organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of young people. We work closely with the Prince’s Trust and other education providers to offer tailored programs that help students develop essential skills and achieve their goals.
The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Outreach Tutor to deliver pre-prepared educational topics as part of the Prince’s Trust program, alongside English and Maths Functional Skills. As part of our outreach team, you will play a vital role in helping young people gain valuable qualifications and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and structured lessons in line with pre-prepared materials for the Prince’s Trust program.
• Teach English and Maths Functional Skills up to Level 2, adapting your approach to meet the needs of learners.
• Provide individual support to help students overcome learning barriers and achieve their qualifications.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to both students and the wider support team.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and achievement in line with organizational standards.
• Travel to various outreach locations as required to deliver lessons in different settings (such as community centres or partner organizations).
What We're Looking For:
• A qualified tutor or educator with experience in teaching English and Maths Functional Skills.
• Experience working with young people or learners who may have additional needs or barriers to education.
• A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young people.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire learners.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across different locations and environments.
• A valid driving license and willingness to travel to outreach locations.
Desirable:
• Experience delivering Prince’s Trust programs or similar youth development programs.
• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTLLS, or equivalent).
