Position Summary
The Packaging Technician I position is responsible for a maintaining a cGMP compliant workspace for packaging operations, keeping the department’s daily operations running as efficiently as possible.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties
• Clean and maintain Manufacturing equipment and rooms and assist in equipment turnover (setup/teardown). Equipment includes stainless steel equipment (fillers) trays, removeable plastic parts, other stainless steel or plastic equipment on the packaging lines
• Completion of room/equipment turnovers must pass QA inspection Right-First Time
• Complete other room turnover duties including (but not limited to) sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, washing walls.
• Remove dirty barrels, pallets, trash. Assist loading / unloading elevator.
• Communicate when janitorial supplies run low so Supervisor can ensure necessary supplies are purchased/ in stock.
• Must perform all tasks in compliance with cGMP’s, SOP’s.
• Must document all tasks performed per SOP
• Other related duties as required.

Qualifications
Education / Certifications:
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Required Knowledge
• Good organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Able to follow directions and communicate information (written and verbal).

Finger And Hand Dexterity
• Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and tools; reach with hands and arms above/below shoulder height.
Talking
• Be able to communicate effectively and accurately with your team and supervisor to ensure manufacturing safety and SOPs are being followed.

• Can hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Repetitive Motions
• Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, elbows, and/or fingers.
Average Visual Abilities
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Physical Strength
• The employee is required to regularly stoop, kneel, crouch, and stand, walk for long periods (8 hours per day).
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 0-35 pounds repeatedly and 35-50 pounds occasionally throughout the day.
• Will be required to climb ladders and use balance.
Working Conditions
• Work is performed in a manufacturing/packaging environment while wearing appropriate PPE including but not limited to laboratory coats, dust mask, lab glasses, gloves, pants, hair and beard nets, and close toed shoes always.
• Works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
