Job Description

The Goodwood Park Healthcare Group, based in West and South Auckland, provides residential and community support services to people with Mental Health Illnesses and Traumatic Brain Injuries. We also provide aged care, private hospital and dementia care services.

We are currently looking for a Painter to join our maintenance team on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The role is a fixed term role for one year and includes maintaining a large number of residential dwellings for a diverse group of residents in the community. We are looking for an experienced and competent painter to assist keep our properties in a tidy state. The successful candidate will understand industry best practices and apply them to every aspect of their work, they will be able to work independently and efficiently.

Skills required for this role include:

Ability to assist and perform tasks in connection with painting/preparation
Maintaining accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules.
Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment at all times.
Ensuring equipment is accounted for when taken onto sites for use.
Providing regular audits of maintenance equipment and reporting to the Maintenance Team Manager.
Keeping accurate records of any purchases and reporting to the administration team.
Ensuring goods and materials are stored appropriately.
Being physically fit and able.
Being motivated and capable of working unsupervised.
Being able to follow instructions.
Having previous painting and painting preparation experience.
Having a high sense of pride in your work, attention to detail, a great sense of responsibility, and personal presentation.
Knowing how to correctly use power tools and PPE associated with the role.
Having the ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks quickly.
Having knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace.
Attend trainings as required.
Good time management skills
Able to work autonomously.
