Employment Type:Full-Time / Part-TimeJob Summary:We are seeking a creative and detail-orientedInterior Designer / Space Plannerto join our growing team. This role involves creating functional, innovative, and aesthetically pleasing designs for commercial and office spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong design sense, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate client needs into effective spatial solutions.Responsibilities:Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, preferences, and functional needs for interior spaces.
Create and present design concepts, mood boards, and material selections.
Develop detailed space plans, floor layouts, and 3D renderings using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit).
Specify and source furniture, finishes, and materials that align with the design vision and budget.
Prepare project documentation, including furniture and fixture schedules, purchase orders, and installation plans.
Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project implementation.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any challenges.
Assist with creating marketing materials and visuals for presentations and proposals.
Stay up-to-date with design trends, building codes, and industry best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Proven experience in commercial interior design or space planning (2+ years preferred).
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of space planning principles, ergonomics, and building codes.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Strong communication and presentation skills to convey ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for creating exceptional spaces.Preferred but Not Required:NCIDQ certification or equivalent credentials.
Experience with sustainable design principles and LEED certification projects.
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for creating visuals and presentations.
Knowledge of commercial furniture systems and specifications.
Experience working with office or workplace design projects.
