Part Time Class 2 Delivery Driver

Pay rate dependent on experience

Part time hours circa 20-24 per week – flexible basis

Location Coverage: UK Mainland only

Base: Greenfield, Saddleworth, OL3 7AQ

Standring Brothers Ltd., a leading plastic extrusion specialist and toolmakers near Oldham in Manchester, is expanding and now looking for an experienced Part Time LGV Class 2 License Delivery Driver to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate and maintain an LGV Class 2 vehicle for daily deliveries.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to various locations across the UK Mainland.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Manage inbound and outbound warehouse operations, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Organise and maintain inventory within the warehouse, including storing raw materials and finished products.
• Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during driving and warehouse operations.
• Document and manage incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
• Maintain clear communication with the logistics team and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and interactions with clients.
• Complete required paperwork and delivery logs accurately and promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the warehouse and logistics operations.

Essential

Skills/Experience Required:
• Hold a valid Class 2 Licence
• Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver
• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
• Strong safety awareness and a comprehensive understanding of road safety and traffic laws.
• Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and maximise productivity in a fast-paced work setting.
• Clear and effective communication with the logistics team, warehouse staff, and customers.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, work schedules, and tasks as needed to support the needs of the warehouse and meet customer demands.
