Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Watford - Primary School
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Are you looking to start or develop your career as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant? Join a wonderful primary school in Watford, where you can make a real difference by supporting students with a variety of SEND needs.
We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work closely with students and staff in a caring, inclusive school environment. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm, and is available for the full academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
• As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with SEND, assisting in their learning and development
• Help create a supportive, engaging, and safe environment for children with SEND
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the progress of SEND students
• Work one-to-one with children with SEND to support them in achieving their developmental milestones
• Foster positive relationships in the classroom and assist with behaviour management
The Ideal Candidate:
• Previous experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting
• A passion for supporting children with SEND and a commitment to making a positive impact
• Available to start immediately and able to commit for the full academic year
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Child-Only DBS check
• Experience working with children, with references available
• Local to Watford or within a commutable distance
