Conduct daily tasks required to perform the ongoing coordination and the development and production of project documents, procedures, plans, and other communications deliverables necessary for ongoing support to project management policy and reporting requirements
Perform development and maintenance of multiple project management planning documents, processes, procedures, presentations, and communication products using specialized knowledge
Assist DOE staff in the creation and maintenance of documentation, and provide technical document editing, writing, and production
Develop and maintain both style guides and templates to ensure consistency in DOE products

Allegheny Science & Technology is seeking a Part-Time Technical Writer to support our team in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This position will be supporting our Department of Energy (DOE) customer, who requires programmatic support with technical writing, editing, analysis, and research. This onsite role will be part time, up to 30 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in working with DOE complex, and technical standards, or similar is preferred.
• Experience in working with external agencies (e.g. DOE HQ and EM directives and standards points of contact), preferred.
• Knowledge of the Idaho site, preferred.
