We are currently accepting applications for Part-Time and Casual Container Terminal and Port Security Officers to join our high profile security site located in Saint John. This position requires strong social perceptiveness, strong deportment, and impeccable verbal & written communication skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role, you get the chance to work alongside other port-related and logistics services. As a Container Terminal Security Officer, your main duties will include anticipating and addressing inquiries, hazards, obstacles, and traffic concerns, patrolling the facility regularly, ensuring authorized entry to secure areas only, writing detailed incident reports, and complying with the Marine Transportation Security Regulations.

YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:
Provide exceptional customer service, with an exceptional smile
Have strong communication skills
Are eligible to work in Canada
Have prior experience and a valid security license
Class 5 License (an asset)
Previous or current Port Pass or MTSC Clearance (an asset)

Security officers are subject to thorough background checks and security clearances, in addition to carrying a valid Security License.
NICE TO HAVE:
Valid Transport Security Clearance is preferred or we will help you apply
Good problem solving and decision-making skills, including working under pressure.
Discretion when handling confidential and private information.
Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
Must be at least 1+ years of age and have a high school diploma.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Please note that applicants seeking employment at the terminal must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance as identified by the Marine Transportation Security Clearance Program

Shift Times: Various Shifts available (please note this site is staffed 24/7 and as such applicants should be available for work during days, evenings, weekends and holidays).
