Patent Prosecution Associate

Greensboro, Charlotte, or Raleigh, NC

OUR CLIENT

Our client is an AmLaw 200 commercial law firm and one of the largest in the Western United States. Their litigation practice is Chambers ranked in Arizona and nationally. They are also Vault ranked as one of the best law firms in the mountain states, with associates praising the firm’s mentorship and ample pro bono opportunities.

THE POSITION

The firm is seeking a Patent Prosecution Associate to join any of their North Carolina office locations. Associate and Patent Agent candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and have 2-6 years of legal experience.

REQUIREMENTS
• Candidates must have IP experience with drafting and patent prosecution and a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar
• Design engineering experience is a plus
• Wireless communication experience in 5G, 6G, and 3GPP standards is desired but not required
• Associate candidates must be licensed to practice law or could become licensed as soon as possible in the state in which they will work.
• All candidates must be a member of the USPTO
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills, excellent academic credentials, and strong organizational and analytical abilities

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

A reasonable estimation of base salary for this role is $185,000 - $225,000/year depending on experience.

The final offer will be determined on years of relevant experience.
