One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres, is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking a 1 FTE Payroll and HR Generalist who will be responsible for the provision and overseeing of payroll and benefits administration and related functions for NorWest CHC. This is a new position.
The position has excellent group health benefits package, a competitive salary, and the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan is an additional benefit.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary education in human resources, payroll administration, finance and/or benefits administration (or equivalent).
Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation or commitment to pursuing designation.
Experience processing payroll, preferably in a unionized environment, a non-profit, charitable or health care setting considered an asset.
Experience working with an integrated HR/Payroll system (Dayforce)
Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of Ontario payroll regulations and employment legislation.
Experience with collective agreement, benefit and pension administration.
Experience with year-end processing.
Understanding of accountingprinciples – general ledgers
Ability to work outside regular business hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
