You don’t need to be part of the rainbow community for this gig, you just need to be an experienced peer-to-peer fundraiser looking to make your career that little bit more fabulous.

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We’re looking for a passionate human to lead on our peer-to-peer and event fundraising. Sweat with Pride is one of the largest peer-to-peer event’s in Aotearoa, already raising over $2.5m, we’re targeting our first $1m year (something to add to your CV). You’ll also help us concept, plan, and launch new trial online fundraising events, as well as play a key role in supporting making the annual Big Gay Out festival in Auckland a huge success.

We’re a close-knit fundraising whānau, so you’ll be exposed to all facets of the fundraising world here – individual giving, partnerships, philanthropy, and grants.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver our peer-to-peer and event income streams with support of the Fundraising Manager, fundraising team, and external agencies,
Develop comprehensive digital journeys that maximise the engagement and value of participants,
Foster new, and nurture existing relationships with participants, including workplaces and schools,
Show love to our fundraisers through genuine relationship management,
Support the sponsorship and partnership programme.
He kōrero mōu: About you

You’ll be a creative human who can demonstrate a commitment to deliver this mahi. We are looking for someone who has:

3 + years’ experience planning and delivering digital or physical peer-to-peer fundraising events,
Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and manage multiple P2P events simultaneously, ensuring all elements are coordinated efficiently,
Digital fundraising expertise, with familiarity with digital acquisition and engagement strategies and confidence using social media and creating digital content to engage participants,
Copywriting skills to craft compelling engagement journeys, develop persuasive content for websites, social media, and email campaigns, and align messaging with our overall fundraising goals,
Relationship management skills, to act as the primary contact for participants and organisations, you’ll excel in building and maintaining relationships, providing excellent support, and fostering long-term engagement.
A genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, te reo me ngā tikanga Māori, and an ability to translate this into your mahi.
