The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the TCS World Travel team as a People and Payroll Accountant playing a key role in the accounting and management of people costs for the business. This position entails handling accounting functions related to payroll, analysis of people costs for various tax and reporting requirements, and the administration of people management tools for the accounting team.

What you will be doing:
• Partner with payroll function to review detailed payroll submissions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of inputs.
• Record bi-monthly payroll submissions into the accounting system by the appropriate cost center
• Liaise with worldwide intercompany accounting teams to invoice for outbound services.
• Record inbound payroll and other charges from worldwide intercompany accounting teams, and ensure accurate reporting for costs across global teams.
• Perform month-end activities such as balancing monthly payroll statements to GL accounts and intercompany accounts for all services.
• Support bonus program and detailed yearly calculations of accrual variance.
• Analysis of monthly headcount report and review of starters and leavers.
• Support budget and forecasting activities as needed including providing relevant variance commentary.
• Enforce to all local and federal US tax requirements and reporting related to payroll costs.
• Complete yearly audit requirements related to people and payroll costs.
• Identify and implement operational improvements related to people and payroll costs.
• Post transactions, general journals, and other accounting entries as needed.
• Administer company credit card and expenses program for people management
• Provide general assistance to management, staff, and vendors as requested and Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:
• Strong experience in accounting or payroll or equivalent industry
• Experience with global payroll structures, with an emphasis on US compensation requirements
• Must have experience in ADP and Expert in advanced Excel
• Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of information and compensation calculations
• Excellent verbal and written English, with the ability to communicate expertly in a global environment
• Must be a phenomenal teammate and work well with others and ability to learn new software and online-based tools quickly
• Certificates in accounting or payroll management are preferred
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy
