Planning & Projects Technical Support Officer - Moranbah

About the Position:

Isaac Regional Council (IRC) is seeking a highly experienced Technical Support Officer to join its Planning & Projects team within the Water & Waste directorate. This full-time position will be based in Moranbah.

Reporting to the Manager Planning and Projects, the Project Support Officer is responsible for providing project management office (PMO) contract and program administration and support for the Planning and Projects team within the Water & Waste Directorate. The successful candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills. Previous experience in producing high quality reports, data analysis and the ability to interpret policies, procedures and legislation will be highly regarded. Experience in the use of Microsoft Applications, including Microsoft Project, and information management systems would be highly regarded.

For this position we offer:
$+3,628.40 per annum (Stream A Level 5)
Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight
RDO’s in accordance with Council Policy
5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
Up to 14% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
About you:

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Support Officer who excels in providing high level administrative and project management support to our Planning and Projects team.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organising and team work skills.
Demonstrated success in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and report writing.
Sound knowledge of procurement, scheduling, and cost control activities.
Ability to handle matters with both confidentiality and sensitivity.
Administrative, planning, and coordinating skills, preferably within a project, planning, and/or scheduling environment.
Diploma level or similar qualification in Project Management or other related discipline. (Desirable)
