Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor production supervisors and other functional areas supporting manufacturing, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
• Oversee production and shipping schedules, ensuring adherence to quality standards, cost control, and maintaining strong relationships with employees and the surrounding community.
• Develop and manage manufacturing budgets while evaluating workforce requirements to maximize production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure the plant operates smoothly and efficiently.
• Ensure safe and effective use of all manufacturing equipment, maintaining a culture of safety and compliance at all levels.
• Monitor quality and productivity metrics to ensure service and cost objectives are consistently met.
• Oversee employee training, development, and performance management, ensuring teams are well-equipped for success and growth within the company.
• Measure and communicate progress toward Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Lead communication meetings to support the Business Management System (BMS) and drive Operational Excellence initiatives across the plant.
• Champion the use of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools to identify and execute continuous improvement projects that enhance plant performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing operations.
• At least 5 years in an operations leadership role, demonstrating strong leadership and team development skills.
