Plumber

The School District of Lee County is currently seeking a Plumber to install, maintain, and repair various plumbing fixtures and accessories in a safe and cost-effective manner that supports the goals of the District.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent.
Four (4) years of experience in plumbing.
Valid Florida driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Journeyman Plumber license.
National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Install, alter, maintain, and repair plumbing and heating systems and fixtures.
Make necessary drawings or sketches for repair work.
Maintain/order all supplies/materials and generate purchase requisitions.
Size pipe, solder, vent, and repair plumbing systems.
Assess and repair non-potable pumping systems.
Purge and service vacuum systems and pumps.
Report asbestos when discovered.
Repair and replace fire hydrants on District property.
Comply with applicable safety regulations and procedures.
