Policy Development Specialist

The Disability Policy team at the Ministry of Social Development is seeking an experienced Senior Policy Analyst to join its ranks. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for providing expert policy advice to government on issues related to disability, including employment, education, health and wellbeing. Your role will involve working closely with Whaikaha – the Ministry of Disabled People, as well as other stakeholders, to develop and implement policies that promote equality, fairness and human rights for disabled people and their whanau. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of policy development, analysis and implementation. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
