About the Role: As a Deputy Accounts and Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing accounting processes, and providing strategic guidance to the finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with business units, and monitoring performance against targets to identify variances and trends.
• Accounting Operations: Managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed asset accounting, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Internal Controls: Establishing and maintaining internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
• Tax Compliance: Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, including income tax, GST, and other indirect taxes, and coordinating with external tax advisors for tax planning and filing requirements.
• Audit Management: Coordinating external audits and reviews, including statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits, and ensuring timely completion of audit deliverables.
• Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making, investment analysis, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Team Leadership: Leading and developing a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
