Responsibilities:

As a Senior Database Administrator at Tata Consultancy Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our databases. This includes performing regular backups, maintaining data integrity, and optimizing database performance. You will also be involved in designing and implementing backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.

Technical Requirements:

• PostgreSQL +.x to 13 experience">
• SQL Server experience">
• Business Intelligence (SSIS) experience">
• Familiarity with PostgresQL architecture and database maintenance">
• Excellent shell and SQL skills for DBA tasks automation">
• Experience with handling large datasets in PostgresQL">
• Knowledge of database upgrades, backup recovery, etc.">

Nice to Have:

• Experience with NOSQL technologies, Apache Spark, Impala, Solr">
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services">
• Experience with containerization using Docker">
• Knowledge of DevOps practices">

Requirements:

• Possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field">
• At least 4 years of experience within a Database Administrator role">
• Hands-on experience with PostgresQL database V10+">
• Good performance and troubleshooting skills">
