Job Overview

We are working with an Ofsted 'Good' Primary School based in Hammersmith & Fulham who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive environment that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among students. This role requires a strong ability to educate students in various sports and physical activities while fostering a positive attitude towards health and fitness.

The role will be to provide PPA cover 3 days a week, and subject release time 2 days a week, teaching different subjects. The successful applicant will also deliver two after school clubs and 3 morning clubs.

Duties
• Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula that align with educational standards.
• Educate students on the importance of physical fitness, health, and well-being.
• Organise and lead sports coaching sessions, ensuring all students participate and develop their skills.
• Manage student behaviour effectively to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Assess student performance in physical activities and provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate clearly with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and behaviour.
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate physical education into the broader curriculum.
• Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe environment for all activities.

Qualifications
• QTS
• Experience in teaching PE or sports coaching is desirable
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple classes and activities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with students of varying abilities.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques to foster a positive learning environment.
• A commitment to promoting health, fitness, and well-being among students.
