Job Description
Position Overview:
Our “Network Management” team is delivering cutting-edge products that help telecom operators manage their networks and ensure a connected world. Our products are evolving towards a cloud-native delivery while also building automations to manage Nokia’s leading Cloud RAN and Open RAN solutions for the telecom networks. You will have a key role in shaping the future of our product by ensuring that architectural proposals meet challenging requirements of rapidly growing telecom networks and keep us competitive in a rapidly evolving market. Requirements:
• Minimum 15 Years of an Industry experience is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in design, architecture, and implementation of cloud-based solutions on Kubernetes platform
• Strong understanding of the Kubernetes fundamentals, Kubernetes core concepts and advanced Kubernetes capabilities
• Should have hands-on experience in managing Kubernetes containerized infrastructure and applications.
• Strong understanding of cloud native architectural principles and microservices based software development principles.
• Should have hands-on proficiency in various areas in and around Kubernetes like: self-healing, scaling, service discovery, load balancing, storage orchestration, automated rollouts and rollbacks, secret and configuration management, operators, scheduling, autoscaling, batch workloads, cluster networking, ingress controllers, service mesh, CNI, CRI and CSI specifications and configurations, helm charts, API gateways, ingress/egress gateways, service-mesh, observability stack and other capabilities in and on-top of Kubernetes.
• Should have the technical capability to guide the development teams about the right ways of architecting and designing cloud native workloads on Kubernetes.
• Should have hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
• Should have experience with code tools like Ansible & Terraform
• Basic expertise with DevOps development with exposure to DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipeline and automation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
• Must have outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of initiatives.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Network Management components on Kubernetes cloud platform to meet the functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support in defining and developing solutions, system/software architecture and detailed designs, frameworks and use cases that describe the end-to-end system behavior and impact of the solution.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in a microservices architecture.
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to development teams during design and implementation.
• Identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization in product architecture evolution.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies around Kubernetes to support our business requirements.
Additional preferable know-how:
• Programming languages like Python and Golang.
• Cloud computing platforms like Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP etc.
• Hands-on experience with managed Kubernetes services on public cloud: EKS or AKS or GKE
• Relevant certifications in Kubernetes and cloud technologies.
• Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP/EKS/AKS/GKE) certification.
• Know-how on storage technologies such as RAID, Volumes, Replication solutions.
• Basic knowledge of telecom network management.
