Are you an experienced Private Banker in the UK? If so, we are working with a growing Banking Institution based in the City of London who are hiring a Private Banker to join their Private Bank Team.

Day to day:
• Build Client Relationships and an in-depth knowledge of clients businesses and sources of wealth.
• Serve as a trust advisor to clients seeking strategic advice regarding their financial matters.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client goals and risk tolerance.
• Brings together appropriate product experts to develop long-term solutions

The Private banking team plays a crucial role within the bank managing offshore financial needs of a wide range of high net worth individuals covering wealth management, banking and lending. This role sits within the UK front office, and will involve the origination of new client business and portfolio management responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for any target focused individual who is looking for a challenging and varied position.

Candidates with experience of a variety of markets would be beneficial but emerging, or developing markets such as Africa would be preferred. We require candidates with a broad understanding of asset classes and associated risks as you will be required to sell discretionary investment products and will be involved in managing clients discretionary portfolios reflecting risk profiles.

Travel will be required as part of this role and it's business development efforts to visit clients, customers and potential customers - typically to the African continent.

Other experience - you will ideally hold regulatory qualifications such as the IMC, RDR level 4, UK Financial Regulation etc, and at least a Bachelors degree (or equivalent).

Good communication skills - listening, awareness of cultural nuances, tactfulness, clarity and conciseness, alongside a history of managing HNWIs will be advantageous.
