Qualifications
***NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENT: Must have 5+ years of plastics manufacturing experience and be knowledgeable regarding the characteristics of plastic materials***
Minimum of 5 years of process engineering and/or manufacturing engineering experience within a manufacturing setting is required
Must have experience working on the production floor with various types of plastic manufacturing equipment
Ideal candidates will have experience developing tooling for manufacturing equipment
Must possess the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams/schematics
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Must possess strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills
Must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is able to succeed with little supervision
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team

Responsibilities
Develop effective manufacturing processes by evaluating product requirements and designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment to ensure desired results
Monitor and improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow while optimizing space and equipment layout
Lead continuous improvement efforts to boost efficiency, cut costs, and reduce scrap
Manage multiple projects, set schedules and timelines with action items, determine resource needs, manage budgets, and adhere to compliance standards
Identify new and creative solutions to resolve complex issues during the manufacturing process
Identify and resolve process operating problems, investigate equipment failures, draft follow-up action reports, and share technical assistance with workers on the floor
Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues during manufacturing process and diagnose and resolve issues with machinery and tooling
Apply industry knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, and tooling, and materials and collaborate with production associates
Collaborate with the New Product Development Team on new launches and provide guidance regarding how to overcome production issues and how to effectively implement improvements to the manufacturing process
Stay abreast of industry developments and integrate new techniques, technologies, and processes
Handle additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager

QUALIFICATIONS
