Job Reports To: Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialist
Key Activities
To support the Finance Department over the summer, the NAC is seeking a highly motivated Procurement Student – Operations. Working within the Finance Department and under the supervision of the Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialist – Operations, the Procurement Student – Operations will support daily procurement activities, including vendors management, contracts review, data uploads, purchase orders creation, and various related administrative tasks.
This opportunity offers valuable, hands-on experience in a dynamic procurement environment. The student will gain practical knowledge of procurement processes and best practices, develop skills in contract analysis and vendor relations, and become familiar with procurement systems and tools. Additionally, they will have the chance to work cross-functionally with different departments, enhancing their communication & organizational abilities.
Skill Requirements
A university, college, or final-year CEGEP student with knowledge of administration and business, and experience in Finance or Commerce or equivalent;
Strong data analysis skills, attention to detail, precision, and adaptability;
Experience with digital systems, tools, and applications, with proficiency in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Takes responsibility for completing all assigned tasks in a timely manner;
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain absolute confidentiality at all times;
Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
