About the business
Everest People are proud to continue our partnership with Zempire Camping, a New Zealand success story shaking up the outdoors - one tent at a time.
From their base in Hamilton, Zempire has grown into a global leader in air tent technology with a community of passionate campers and a reputation for bold, clever gear. As their international footprint expands, they remain grounded in what matters: quality products, epic adventures, and a down-to-earth team that loves what they do.
We're on the lookout for a process-driven and product-savvy Product Assistant. This is your chance to work alongside a passionate team and get hands-on with premium outdoor gear before it hits shelves around the world.
If you thrive on order, detail, and love the outdoors, this could be your ideal next move.
About the role
In this pivotal support role, you’ll help manage Zempire’s product data and development processes from the inside out. You’ll maintain accurate product specs in Zempire’s PIM system, coordinate sample testing and compliance with international factories, and ensure every detail is captured and communicated across the team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing product specifications and updates in Zempire’s PIM system (e.g., Plytix)
Supporting product testing and quality assurance with suppliers
Handling and organising product samples and documentation
Ensuring marketing and sales teams have access to current, accurate product information
Helping the Product Designer with admin, organisation, and compliance processes
About you
We’re looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a genuine interest in outdoor products. You’re a natural organiser who enjoys digging into data, solving problems, and working with both people and product.
You’ll bring:
Experience with PIM systems (like Plytix)
Top-notch organisational skills and high attention to detail
Confidence handling product specs, samples, and systems
Clear communication and a collaborative approach
A proactive attitude and passion for getting things done
A love of the outdoors (camping gear fans welcome!)
A full NZ Driver’s Licence
Bonus points for:
Familiarity with NetSuite, Asana, or Shopify
Previous exposure to international compliance or product coordination
Why join Zempire Camping?
Work with a fast-growing global brand known for innovation
Get hands-on experience in the full product development cycle
Be part of a tight-knit, high-energy team
Enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment where every detail matters
