Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Product Designer to contribute to the software experience of an exciting new hardware product. This role involves working closely with the IDC product management team and global design team to ensure alignment with established guidelines while delivering localized solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design intuitive, user-friendly software interfaces that align with HP’s global design standards and guidelines
• Partner with internal stakeholders, including product management, engineering and marketing teams, to gather and refine design requirements, ensuring alignment with product goals
• Work closely with engineering services to communicate design specifications, ensuring consistent execution across the product
• Collaborate with ISVs and partners to align white-labeled solutions with design guidelines and seamlessly integrate them into the product ecosystem
• Maintain a strong relationship with the global design team, ensuring adherence to brand principles and alignment across all touchpoints
Key Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a portfolio showcasing visually cohesive and user-friendly designs, and hands-on experience designing for the Android ecosystem
• Experience working with global design guidelines and integrating them into localized projects is preferred
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
• Familiarity with motion design and sound integration tools is advantageous
• Understanding of hardware and software ecosystem design principles.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
