Qualifications
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience within the pump industry
Expert knowledge about pumping applications
Sufficient education and experience to learn, troubleshoot and train others in applications
Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal and customer service skills
Proficiency in Catia/AutoCAD, Microsoft Products including Power Point, Excel and Word
Ability to perform engineering duties in a production, test, and field environment

Responsibilities
As a Product Engineer, you will work within the Customer Service Unit (CSU) team in Engineering and will be responsible for the technical design, support and management of Factory Product Variants (FPVs) and Configure To Order (CTO) sales orders received
This will involve managing these sales orders with both Sales & Applications Engineers by understanding customer requirements and providing direct feedback and support as the order progresses from submittal to final shipment
This position will also get involved in maintenance of local products, supports Service with field issues, interfaces with Development as new products are released and will work with our Approvals team around local, regional and federal regulations
You will report to the CSU Engineering Manager and work on a fully onsite schedule out of our Brookshire, TX office
Propose necessary product engineering data to support CSU Requests while working closely with CSU to compile technical data for customer submittal packages
Manage the process of custom sales orders in conjunction with appropriate departments – Purchasing, Materials, and Quality, etc. – to ensure lead times and customer requirements are fulfilled
Responsible for the creation of custom Bill of Material, drawings and routing accuracies with managed sales orders
Responsible for maintaining engineering integrity of design modifications and assigned product lines
Manage Engineering Change Master (ECM) process for broadcast to operations and business activities, advising in a clear and concise manner detail of changes and the resulting impact on product, inventory and departments affected
Respond and liaise with Product Management and those technically responsible for product to capture and analyze any product trend requests from customers
Interface with the Engineering Manager to manage maintenance and developmental needs for the assigned product line with a focus on continual product improvement
Interface with Manufacturing Engineering on new designs for optimum costs, manufacturability and ease of assembly
Provide engineering calculations for bearing loads, thrust loads and stress calculations to ensure structural integrity of new existing components and performance data on new and existing products

Your main responsibilities:

Your background:

We imagine that you have:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification is preferred or equivalent experience in specific pump applications.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience within the pump industry.
• Expert knowledge about pumping applications.
• Sufficient education and experience to learn, troubleshoot and train others in applications.
• Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Catia/AutoCAD, Microsoft Products including Power Point, Excel and Word.
• Ability to perform engineering duties in a production, test, and field environment.
• Ability to work fully onsite out of our Brookshire, TX facility.
