The Product Owner is critical to making this happen and will
• Identify, define, and prioritise the product roadmap.
• enable and inspire a multi-disciplinary team ('Squad') to pursue its mission, by guiding them on 'what'work should be completed by the squad.
• Lead a team of Developers, Business analysts, and Test engineers in the build, test, integration, and delivery.
• Utilise strong communication skills to collaborate with external teams in feature delivery, and to identify, and mitigate risks
• Support team members to clear roadblocks in their path
What will your day look like
• Create, maintain, and optimise the Product Backlog for the team
• Engage with stakeholders from business and integrating solutions to align on implantation timelines
• Lead agile ceremonies (sprint planning, story estimation, retrospectives, etc)
• Represent Product and team interest at Tech Area, and Domain summits.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve delivery and test processes and tools.
• Engage with team members to identify growth opportunities.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Essential skills
• Deep expertise not only in Payments Messaging domain, but also in data-driven analytical skills and evidence based decision making, File processing platform change implementation. A proven ability to innovate and adapt to the latest developments in your area of expertise.
• Understanding of Software development management tools – Jira, Confluence.
• Experience or knowledge of IBM SI Tool
• Familiarity with SWIFT MT / ISO 20022 MX message formats and usage of different fields of different types of messages.
• Knowledge on Payments Messaging apps (GFE/AMH/SAG/PAG)
• Clearing networks (RTGS, Swift) & Payments Processing / Settlement / Reconciliation.
• Excellent analytical & troubleshooting skills.
• Strong risk management capabilities.
Desired Skills
• Proven experience with the Agile Software methodology.
• Experience tracking deliveries through to implementation against program roadmaps.
• Skills in delivery software with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Good Knowledge about IBM Sterling Integrator(SI), AMH and related products or prior experience in working with these products.
Soft skills:
• Strong team leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Be a self-motivated, proactive as well as an active collaborator.
• Excellent communication, and presentation skills
• Storyteller - going beyond the mechanics of segmenting a user story into the product backlog by telling the story which nicely ties together the why, the customer need and the vision.
