Production Engineer for Transformer Tank Fabrication unit

We are hiring Production Engineer for Transformer Tank Fabrication unit for our client based in Vadodara, Gujarat.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Work Allocation: Prepare daily production plans and allocate tasks to contractors and workmen to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly review production progress in line with customer delivery dates and drive contractor teams to meet completion targets on time.
Material Management: Ensure timely availability of input materials required for fabrication, and work closely with sub-contractors to resolve any material-related queries.
Technical Guidance: Provide technical assistance by understanding engineering drawings and guiding contractors and manpower to ensure accurate and efficient work completion.
Quality Control: Define and implement quality check stages, ensuring dimensional accuracy during the fit-up stage. Ensure all quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Inspection Readiness: Ensure the product is ready for inspection as per the provided schedule and meet all inspection criteria.
Paint Management: Coordinate with the painting team to ensure timely availability of paint and share painting requirements for on-schedule completion.
Dispatch Coordination: Arrange the timely dispatch of materials once production and finishing tasks are complete.
Shop Floor Safety & Discipline: Maintain shop discipline and ensure adherence to all safety protocols, ensuring proper usage of consumables, tools, and machinery.
Efficiency & Cost Control: Ensure the efficient use of machinery and resources to minimize waste and control costs.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:
Strong understanding of production processes, fabrication techniques, and engineering drawings.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong communication skills to interact with contractors, teams, and suppliers.
A commitment to maintaining quality standards and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
