Job Title: Production Technician / SMT Operator - Electronic Manufacturing

Location: Belper / Derbyshire

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

Operating within a state-of-the-art facility, you'll be instrumental in assembling, testing, and producing top-tier electronic products. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll ensure smooth operations and high-quality output on the SMT production line, while maintaining rigorous standards in electronic product assembly.

Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to various aspects of product assembly, testing, and logistics.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues to maintain production flow.
• Consistently deliver high-quality work, with an initiative-taking approach to improving processes and procedures.
• Adhere to compliance requirements and high standards of safety and precision.
• For SMT roles - Operate and maintain SMT lines, including solder paste, pick and place, vapour phase reflow, and AOI equipment.

Required Skills and Experience:
• HND/HNC in Electronic Engineering or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in electronic manufacturing.
• PCB assembly experience.
• Ideally experience with surface mount technology (SMT) operations, including equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of through-hole soldering and surface mount rework.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Desirable Skills:
• IPC training certification.
• Experience working with Mycronic SMT equipment.

Additional Requirements:
• You must be a UK National and able to obtain and hold a high-level security clearance.
