Reporting to the Dean Faculty of Health and Human Services, the Program Specialist plays a key role in collaborating with diverse educational stakeholders to support the design, implementation, and management of both funded and tuition-based programs and courses.

These initiatives are informed by regional/community needs, aligned with delegated priorities, and guided by strategic goals.

In this role the Program Specialist supports enrollment management by providing data-driven insights and resources to facilitate evidence-based decisions making. Additionally, they contribute to strategic planning by creating robust program structures that prioritize student success while aligning with institutional goals.

Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborating within project teams, or operating independently, this position is responsible accountable for coordinating, negotiation, and implementation of contract programs and courses to ensure program delivery aligns with institutional goals and budget targets.
Collaborating with the Dean and Associate Dean to respond to one-time-only training requests, completing all the steps needed to satisfy the request.
Researches and analyzes labour market data to guide program development and renewal, ensuring alignment with recruitment and retention strategies that meet institutional and community needs.
In collaboration with the Senior Administrative Specialist identify and analyze potential program sponsors and funding sources through research to support program sustainability and growth initiatives.
In collaboration with the Senior Administrative Specialist support the preparation of funding applications and proposals, ensuring alignment with institutional and community priorities.
Assist the Dean and Associate Dean in advancing program development initiatives and executing curricula implementation priorities.
Support the review and analysis of contract initiatives to ensure effectiveness, alignment with institutional goals, and successful outcomes.
Assist the Dean, Associate Dean, and faculty with curriculum committee and education council submissions.
This position may be assigned to serve as a liaison with community organizations, instructors, and service departments, providing essential operational support at the various campus and community locations.
Liaises with other campuses and centres, instructional areas and service departments to advance collaborative and interdisciplinary programming.
Engages with Nations, external agencies, organizations and community representatives to collaboratively develop and deliver programs and services that address identified needs and priorities.
Support program specific student recruitment and intake processes (i.e. College events).
Support faculty in researching and sourcing instructional resources and aids.
Collaborates with the department chair/coordinator to design and develop content for face-to-face or online course(s) content, including assessments, program guides and student communications.
Provides student support for in-community programming by addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues. Support is offered as needed and in collaboration, with other College support resources to ensure a streamlined learning experience.
Collaborates closely with the department chair or coordinator to organize and facilitate instructor and student orientation, ensuring a efficient and organized onboarding process.
Collaborates with the Senior Administrative Specialist in the monitoring of program budgets and related reporting.
Collaborates with the Senior Administrative Specialist in supporting the operational, in community, and budget development, analysis and reporting as well as current and long-range planning.
Supports the Faculty of Health and Human Services with information sessions, tours, and detailed program information to market and promote offerings to potential students and community stakeholders.
In consultation with the Senior Administrative Specialist, coordinates the ordering and monitoring of materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for effective course and program delivery.
