THE JOB: Project Coordinator, Specialist Services Committee
The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range: $57,160- $71,450
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Specialist Services Committee, the Project Coordinator supports the workplans of the SSC by supporting the implementation of projects and other initiatives as assigned. The Project Coordinator will support the establishment of a network, working groups, engagement, strategic planning processes, reporting, event planning, developing and managing budget, and processing financials.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for taking a proactive approach to ensuring progress occurs across their portfolio and that milestones are met and effectively communicated across the team, department, and with internal and external stakeholders.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Coordinates information gathering and reporting, reviews trends, and compares them to expectations.
Defines priorities within performance objectives and prioritizes multiple issues and opportunities.
Conducts research to define problems and prepares responses to anticipated questions.
Anticipates issues that are not readily apparent, identifies root causes and effects, and considers the possible outcome of potential solutions.
Reports and identifies areas that need guidance in order to resolve complex issues.

Recommends resource requirements and collaborates with impacted stakeholders.
Thoroughness (A):
Identifies potential areas of conflicting priorities and vulnerability in achieving standards.
Reviews department’s progress against established goals, objectives, service level targets, and project milestones.
Supports others in achieving deliverables by efficiently allocating resources and providing common organizing systems, techniques, and disciplines.
Maintains a proactive work review and approval process prior to assignment completion.
Solicits internal and external customer evaluation of performance and devises measures for improvement.

Conducts discussions with and writes memoranda to all levels of colleagues and peer groups in ways that support troubleshooting and problem solving.
Seeks and shares relevant information, opinions, and judgments.
Handles conflict empathetically.
Explains the context of interrelated situations, asks probing questions, and solicits multiple sources of advice prior to taking action when appropriate.

WHAT YOU BRING
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of progressive and related experience or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
Knowledge of BC’s health care system and experience working with family physicians and specialists would be considered an asset.
Specialized knowledge in a technical or professional discipline, preferably in a health, not-for-profit, adult education, government or business sector, and an ability to apply technical/professional concepts and applications to tasks or activities.
Excellent judgment in setting priorities, and managing time, identifying issues and problem-solving while working towards deadlines.
Excellent diplomacy, communication and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with highly trained professionals and diverse stakeholders.
Organized, resourceful and efficient with an outstanding attention to detail, particularly in matters related to internal and external communications.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to represent the team, department and organization with a high level of professionalism.
Proven ability to respond to a wide variety of issues and deal with ambiguity and conflicting demands.
Effective research and writing skills with a proven ability to develop clear and concise communication.
Demonstrated proficiency with PC based software, particularly Caspio, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team
