Position Overview:
The Project Delivery Lead is primarily responsible for defining, planning, tracking, and managing customer projects. The applicable projects will be a mix of new customer implementations and existing customer work. A project delivery lead is the main point of contact for customers for the duration of the project and will need to drive the project to success through clear expectation setting, task management, and status updates. A project delivery lead will communicate with and organize Thrive internal resources including engineers, consultants, and architects using Project Management software, checklists, and reports.


The ideal candidate needs to possess strong project management skills and have experience in managed services and technology solutions. Exceptional communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail are necessary to gain customer confidence and bring projects live quickly. The applicant must be able to motivate people, encourage teamwork, and communicate effectively with senior management. He/she must be able to manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

Investigate customer project needs by working with sales, account managers, and consultants to understand project success criteria and technical requirements

Perform project plan design to meet the critical path and customer timeframes; employ project charters, RAID Logs, communication plans, and business requirement documents

Lead the project by assigning tasks to Engineers and communicating statuses to customers through project artifacts and status update meetings

Keep project resources on task, maintain project plan data, drive projects to completion, and activate Monthly Recurring Revenue

Effectively communicate with client technical and non-technical staff by creating digestible project plans that organize tasks into appropriate phases

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to be a leader of a cross functional project team, as the delivery lead is ultimately responsible to the customer

Advanced experience (6+ years) in project management and professional services

Experience implementing managed services and information technology solutions

Skilled in managing project plans, writing project artifacts, and documenting customer workflows

Interpersonal Skills- Strong Verbal and Written Communication, Conflict Resolution, Positive Attitude, Teamwork, Critical thinker

Detail oriented

Solid understanding of cloud computing, networking, cyber security, and disaster recovery concepts

Technical understanding of, but not limited to:

Office 365 Migrations

Microsoft Server OS

Private Cloud

Public Cloud (Azure)

Networking (Firewalls, Switching, Access Points)

Disaster Recovery

Backup technology

It would be great if you also have:

Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, Prince etc.)

Experience using ServiceNow (or other project management software)

Experience in ITIL methodology and change management processes

Willingness to improve team process and contribute to team and company initiatives
