A day in the life

Manage projects including project team direction, coordination, monitoring schedules, and budgets
Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public
Assign, direct, and review work undertaken by staff to ensure that projects and submittals are completed to a high degree of accuracy
Project management responsibilities including financial, schedule, and scope management of projects
Manage staff for technical project activities, assist with staff development, and provide input and recommendations relative to staff needs, performance, and remuneration
Liaise with clients

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
5+ years’ experience in Civil Engineering and Project Management
P. Eng. (Ontario) designation - considered an asset
Strong project management and technical skills
Strong understanding of Commercial Contracts
Strong technical writing skills; experienced in the preparation of correspondence, reports, and proposals
Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills
Experience in leading a team
Strategic, analytical and practical thinker
Credible knowledge of relevant municipal, provincial and design standards
Must possess a valid driver's license
