You will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and coordinating the delivery of core project activities for a range of projects with competing priorities. Tasks include managing issues and risks, procuring and managing ICT assets, monitoring resources and budget costs against agreed criteria, and drafting project products.

You will also maintain relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communications and foster relationships through feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.

Further duties include:

Provide planning and scheduling assistance to the Project Manager on large scale, complex Information Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) program/project(s).
Monitor and report on work package activities against agreed criteria to Project Manager.
Support risk and issue identification, assessment, and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed, and escalated as appropriate.
Maintain program/project files in accordance with Queensland Health regulations and policies.
Assist with the compilation of project management reports and other general administrative tasks.
Ensure use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools in line with Queensland Health policy.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and an ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes, and accountabilities. Experience in an IM/ICT project environment, including scheduling, risk management, reporting and budgeting, and an ability to coordinate the delivery of work packages.

You will have knowledge of appropriate project management methodologies and the ability to provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools, with experience in, or the ability to assist with the compilation of program/project information, maintenance of program/project files and the preparation and presentation of management reports.

The preferred candidate will have knowledge of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools (preferably PRINCE2).
