Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of property leasing, facilities management, and adherence to Fair Housing regulations. The Property Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our properties are well-maintained, tenant needs are met, and operational goals are achieved. This is position starts as a 10++ Administrative contractor with potential for W2 employee status.
Responsibilities
Manage most aspects of property leasing, including marketing, tenant screening, and lease preparations with guidance from managing broker.
Manage maintenance staff and vendors to ensure properties are well taken care of, tenants needs are met and owners assets maintained.
Provide excellent customer service to tenants by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws.
Maintain accurate records through effective data entry and file management practices with our property managemnet software. Training provided.
Periodically conduct site visits to keep apprised of condition, check work and do property inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
Requirements
Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
Background in construction practices a plus.
Strong knowledge of property leasing processes and facilities management practices.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants and vendors but communicate efficiently.
Understanding of Fair Housing regulations and compliance requirements. A refresher course can be supplied.
Proficient in data entry with strong organizational skills for file management and ability to make sure others operating under you provide the same.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
