QC Inspector & Shipper

Job Summary:

The QC Inspector & Shipper plays a dual role in ensuring both the quality of machined components and the accurate, timely shipping of finished products. This individual is responsible for inspecting parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications, documenting inspection results, and preparing parts for packaging and shipment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Inspection:

Inspect machined parts and assemblies using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, etc.).
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Verify that parts meet dimensional, cosmetic, and material requirements.
Document inspection results, generate reports, and communicate nonconformances.
Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
Maintain calibration and cleanliness of inspection equipment.
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements.
Shipping & Logistics:

Prepare parts for shipping, including cleaning, labeling, packaging, and crating.
Generate and verify shipping documentation (packing slips, labels, BOLs, etc.).
Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight companies).
Maintain shipping records and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Ensure products are packed securely to prevent damage in transit.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Knowledge of precision measurement tools and techniques.
Experience reading mechanical drawings and using inspection documentation systems.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, shipping software).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with ISO +001 or AS+100 quality systems.
Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
