We’re Nouveau Care & we recruit nurses and healthcare assistants for healthcare organisations across the UK. Role Description

We’re looking for international nurses from Abhayapuri to relocate to the UK. You are applying for full-time employment with one of our clients which will be rewarded with an excellent salary and all costs of your relocation met. You’ll be helped through the process of becoming a registered nurse in the UK by the employer. Our international nurses find employment in care homes, hospitals and community settings throughout the UK.

You’ll need to demonstrate at least one year’s experience in nursing. You will have a licence to practice in your country and a relevant nursing qualification.

Typical duties of our UK nursing roles include:

Assessing and planning nursing care requirements

Providing clinical care from admission to discharge

Administering & monitoring medication

Monitoring vital signs and taking samples

Keeping clear records

Key Responsibilities

As an international nurse working in the UK, you’ll be expected to comply with the professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates.

Your key responsibilities as an RGN General Nurse include:

Demonstrate sound knowledge of principles of nursing at all times

Be compassionate, caring and conscientious

Observe and record patient conditions

Check and administer medicines

Communicate effectively with patients and their relatives

Maintain patient records

Requirements

Skills and Experience​

Applicants for our international nurse positions will need to demonstrate one years employment as a nurse within the past 6 months. You’ll need a nursing degree or diploma and a registered nurse licence to practice in your country. Your employer will need you to prove your English language ability via IELTS or OET, which are English exams to ensure the required level of English for working in the UK is met. You’ll complete the NMC Self Assessment to demonstrate your eligibility to for registration to the The Nursing and Midwifery Council – the governing body for nursing in the UK. There is also the Computer Based Test (CBT) – this is multiple choice and designed to test your knowledge as a nurse.

Additionally there are various checks that are either mandatory or required by the employer – you’ll need to complete a police check from your country, submit valid forms of ID and provide satisfactory employment references. You’ll need to apply for a Visa to work in the UK – you’ll receive a Certificate of Sponsorship from your employer who will act as your sponsor for this.

We’re committed to complying with the NHS Code of Practice for International Recruitment, and as such we will not charge you any fees for any part of the recruitment process – your application for this position is effectively free. We work with different employers of nurses, and most of these will cover the expenses of all the above either directly or by reimbursement. In addition, many employers will make significant contributions to your relocation costs. This should include the cost of your flights, and in most cases your accommodation upon arrival to the UK.

Your final step on the path to NMC registration and becoming a fully registered nurse in the UK is the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) exam, which will assess your clinical knowledge. Again, your employer will meet the costs of this and help you to prepare for it.

You can expect a full-time salaried role with one of our employers – typically this will be 37.5 hours per week.

In the UK, employers are required by law to provide 28 days paid holiday each year – many employers choose to pay more in order to provide a more attractive package.
