Brief Description: We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer – CMM Operation for our Gr Noida plant. This role requires understanding of quality measurement techniques in Automotive/Indian Railways industry.
Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CMM machines to measure and inspect components and assemblies for dimensional accuracy.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and standards to determine inspection criteria.
• Program CMM machines for automated inspection processes, ensuring precise and accurate measurements.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of CMM equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections using CMM.
• Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports, highlighting any deviations or non-conformities.
• Collaborate with quality engineers and production teams to address and resolve any quality issues identified during inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results, calibration data, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and quality control processes.
• Provide training and guidance to other team members on the proper use of CMM equipment and inspection techniques.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
• Continuously monitor and improve the CMM inspection process to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence of quality issues.
Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
• Should have 3+ experience in CMM Operations
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and metrology.
• Proficiency in programming and operating CMM machines.
• Experience with software used for CMM programming and data analysis (e.g., ARCOCAD, Calypso, etc.).
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to troubleshoot issues with measurement equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
