Support aged residential care facilities across the Northern Region

About the Role

As the Quality Improvement Advisor, Ageing Well, you will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and improvement activities across aged residential care facilities in the Northern Region, Te Taitokerau me Tamaki Makaurau. This role is responsible for monitoring and managing compliance with Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Service Standards and Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora contracts.

You will have oversight of provider audits, including the reporting and follow up of corrective actions with providers. You will plan and implement quality improvement initiatives and work with other stakeholders to facilitate national initiatives.

About the Team/Service/ Location

You will work as a member of the Ageing Well Team that oversees planning, funding and contracting of community services for the Northern Region's older population. Our team is based in Takapuna, Auckland.

About you

You will have understanding and experience of the aged residential care regulatory environment. You will be able to develop constructive and positive relationships with providers to support high quality care for people receiving these services.

You will have:

A relevant tertiary or professional qualification i.e. a registered nurse and/or certified auditor
Quality assurance experience in aged residential care, stretching over 5-10 years
Strong level of confidentiality due to the sensitivity and information handled
Working at Health New Zealand
