Qualifications
Advanced technical experience in a laboratory setting in pharmaceuticals, oil and gas or other chemical industry
avoid future errors
Ability to work independently and carry out assigned duties effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to work overtime when required
Responsibilities
Contribute to the safe operation and quality of the Lab to meet the business / company goals
May be required to adjusts, maintain, and calibrates testing equipment
Ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean and in proper working order
Conduct routine testing and certification of production samples, intermediate streams & incoming raw materials as per testing methods and specifications
Conduct any ad hoc / urgent tests as assigned by Quality Manager/Plant Management
Organize and safely store laboratory supplies and chemicals
Maintain laboratory reagent and consumables inventory, and notify management when inventory levels indicate replacements when needed
Perform routine laboratory test procedures/methods using provided equipment, including GC, IR and ICP spectroscopy, titrations, color measurement, viscosity and more
May perform complex tests using proficient techniques with electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical
equipment that includes set-up, calibration, trouble-shooting, monitoring, and data collection
Enter test data into the LIMS system and review for accuracy, write and send Material Review Reports to the
Quality Manager as required
Properly dispose of hazardous waste, clean and prepare glassware etc
Adhere to quality systems and standards to ensure a safe work environment and processes
Ensure quality and effective shift handover and takeover is complete at the beginning and end of shift
Any other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor

Preferred Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in technical field, preferred in Chemistry.
· Previous laboratory testing experience preferred.
· Detail oriented
· Excellent documentation skills
· Ability to understand and adhere to standards, protocols, policies and procedures including ISO, ASTM, IEC and
FTMS
· Advanced technical experience in a laboratory setting in pharmaceuticals, oil and gas or other chemical industry
preferred.
· General knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies.
· Ability to clearly identify and communicate issues that need to be addressed and to take the necessary steps to
avoid future errors.
· Ability to work independently and carry out assigned duties effectively
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Ability to work overtime when required.
