Quantitative Developer - Front-End & Full-Stack Focus
Location: Miami (preferred) or New York (with 50% travel to Miami)

Overview
We are collaborating with a premier global hedge fund to identify a talented Quantitative Developer to join their Cross-Asset Volatility team. This role is critical to building and enhancing front-end/full-stack trading and research technology.
The position involves close collaboration with portfolio managers and traders to create intuitive and efficient tools for trading and data analysis. Ideal candidates will have expertise in front-end development, a solid understanding of financial concepts, particularly in options, and an ability to adapt quickly to new frameworks and technologies.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact opportunity with the potential for immediate career advancement. Candidates open to relocating to Miami or travelling frequently to Miami will have a competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and maintain front-end trading and research systems using JavaScript, React, and Python.
• Build robust, scalable technology infrastructure tailored to the needs of the Cross-Asset Volatility team.
• Develop tools to support trading, data analysis, and backtesting.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio managers to ensure solutions are intuitive, efficient, and impactful.
• Stay current with new frameworks, including Tauri, to enhance desktop applications.
• Rapidly upskill in financial and options-related concepts as required.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Experience:
• Strong software engineering background with 2+ years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack development.
• Expertise in JavaScript frameworks such as React and Redux; familiarity with backtesting tools is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Python for broader technology development.
• An understanding of options and financial concepts is required.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in modern front-end technologies, including React/Redux and Express.
• Willingness to learn new frameworks, such as Tauri, on the job.
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid tech stack across Python and JavaScript.
• Additional:
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to relocate to Miami or travel frequently for on-site collaboration.
