Your Future Tasks:

In an insurance company, the receptionist plays a crucial role as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers. Their responsibilities typically include:

Greeting Visitors and Clients: Welcoming visitors, clients, and insurance policyholders in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring they feel comfortable and are directed to the appropriate department or individual.
Answering and Directing Calls: Managing incoming phone calls, answering queries, and forwarding calls to the relevant departments or personnel within the company.
Appointment Scheduling: Assisting clients in scheduling appointments with agents or claims representatives, keeping track of calendars, and ensuring appointments are well-organized.
Handling Inquiries: Providing general information about the company’s services, policies, and products to clients, and directing them to specific departments for more detailed inquiries.
Administrative Support: Handling a variety of clerical tasks such as maintaining office supplies, filing documents, organizing company paperwork, and assisting other team members with administrative duties as needed.
Managing Correspondence: Sorting and distributing incoming mail, emails, and other communications to the relevant team members or departments. Also, preparing outgoing mail and ensuring timely dispatch.
Maintaining Client Records: Updating and maintaining accurate client records, ensuring that all necessary documents are properly filed and accessible.
Data Entry: Entering client information into databases, ensuring that all data is accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Handling Payments and Documentation: In some cases, the receptionist may assist with collecting payments, issuing receipts, and ensuring that the correct paperwork is completed for policyholders.
Customer Service: Addressing client concerns or complaints in a professional manner, ensuring their needs are met and escalating any issues to higher-level staff if necessary.
Supporting Sales and Claims Teams: Offering administrative support to insurance agents or claims adjusters by preparing necessary documents and helping with client follow-ups.
Maintaining Office Organization: Ensuring the front office area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Education Qualifications required:

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Experience in Insurance (Optional)

· Postgraduate Qualifications (Optional)

Skills & Competencies required:

· Attention to Detail: Accuracy is crucial in processing policy data and financial transactions.

· Communication Skills: Even if not client-facing, communication within the team and other departments is key for smooth operations.

· Technical Skills: Knowledge of insurance software and MS Office tools like Excel for reporting.

· Organizational Skills: The role involves juggling multiple tasks, so time management and prioritization are essential.

· Problem-Solving: Handling queries and resolving any issues related to back-office operations or policy processing.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹144,000.00 per year
